Two days full of inspiration, controversy and lively discussions lie behind us: on September 11 and 12, the Communication Congress 2025 took place at the bcc Berlin.
The kick-off was made by Luisa Neubauer with an urgent appeal: climate policy is always also communication policy. "The best storytellers must work for the climate - not against it," she demanded. She thus set the tone for two days in which communication as a central tool for change, responsibility and cohesion repeatedly took center stage.
Joschka Fischer reminded the audience that Europe's future lies in our hands: "Whether our democracy survives depends on you." Standing ovations in the Kuppelsaal showed how strongly his words resonated. Carsten SchneiderFederal Minister for the Environment, spoke about the mammoth tasks of his work: from climate neutrality and protection against extreme weather to the courage to shape policy clearly and confidently.
Ricarda Lang spoke about humor and quick-wittedness as an instrument of power, Gerald Knaus addressed borders, fear and control in relation to the migration debate, René Obermann and Düzen Tekkal discussed the "German Dream", and André SchwämmleinCEO of Flix, presented the mobility of the future.
In addition: Paul Ronzheimer recorded his successful podcast as a live talk for the very first time and analyzed with Filipp Piatov highly topical political issues. Hajo Schumacher and Frank Stauss dissected political communication - pointed, sharp-tongued and with a good dose of humor. The "Berlin Mitte Talk" with Bodo Ramelow offered surprising insights and personal moments that are rarely experienced elsewhere.
The press club discussed Micky Beisenherz, ZEIT editor Mariam Lau, Executive Editor at Politico Gordon Repinski and Table.Briefings editor-in-chief Helene Bubrowski the situation of media and journalism.
The Speakers Night at the Admiralspalast was a highlight. An acrobatic duo provided a furious opening before bestselling author and journalist Robin Alexander with Alev Doğan spoke about democracy and trust. Afterwards, the "Team of the Year" (DOSB) and the "Smart Team" (City of Dresden) were honored with the BdKom Award - before it was off to the dance floor.
Many thanks to all participants and to our entire Quadriga team around the congress director Lara Cappelen and Malte Stegmann for two great days!
