At the Politics Award Gala on June 2 in the Tipi am Kanzleramt Ursula von der Leyen was named "Politician of the Year" by politik&kommunikation and Quadriga University. The laudatory speech was held by the Brussels law professor and think tanker Marc De Vos.
Other 2025 award winners were Verena Hubertz as "Rising star of the year" and Joachim Gauck for his life's work. The Left Party's Bundestag election campaign and the New Social Market Economy Initiative's Bureaucracy Museum also received awards and this year's Rising Stars were honored.
As every year, Quadriga is also living up to its social responsibility and donating 50,000 euros to the SCORING GIRLS project run by the NGO Hawar.help.
